John Limbacher, MD
John Limbacher, MD received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt and his medical degree from the University of Tennessee at Memphis. Dr. Limbacher joined Putnam Radiology in 1980 and is a founder of Premier Diagnostic Imaging.
Dr. John Limbacher was born to a Michigan State engineering school graduate and a University of Michigan nursing school graduate, so he has fond memories of interesting times during college football bowl season. He has an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt and a medical degree from the University of Tennessee. After serving with the US Army, he settled in Cookeville, and has practiced radiology here since 1980.
Interest in history has led to involvement with the Cookeville history museum, CityScape, and collecting antique medical items, which are on display at Premier Medical Park. Involvement in church activities has led to service on an interesting committee that is a liaison for the Hispanic church community.
He is especially proud to be part of the medical community of Cookeville. Over the past 25 years, local imaging services have expanded to provide many more choices for physicians and patients. No longer do patients need to travel to the big cities, because the quality of physicians and support staff here is as good or better than any in the state of Tennessee.
Dr. Limbacher measures success at Premier as “providing the best quality imaging services, with the best available technology in an efficient and timely manner at a fair price.”
Over the years, he has learned “If you do what you love and do what you believe is right, then the rest just follows. God has a purpose for each of us which changes as we change, and as long as we try to stay on course, we will be OK.”
